Kubota L4150 DT - Hydraulicshuttle - issues

You should be able to feel the foot clutch pressure plate and throw out bearing making contact at the top of the foot pedal travel, should have about a half inch of free travel before it makes contact.... it should feel smooth and consistent pressure all the way down after making contact. If anything is hanging up, you should be able to feel it either while pressing it down Or while letting it up...
If the clutch has any adjustment on the linkage go ahead and adjust it out... But if it has been slipping you can expect to find over heated pressure plate springs and a badly worn clutch disk. Takes very little time slipping to do a Lot of damage to the dry clutch.

Well it's looking like the dry clutch is gone. No problem with the clutch lever, it's moving fine. Also when you press in the clutch petal with PTO on, it's stops just fine and holds under a load. Looks like the person before me modified the clutch adjustment linkage by making it longer so its adjusted all the way out.

Thanks for all you help here.

If the pto disengages ok, maybe the travel disk still has some internal adjustment left. There are 3 bolts on the dual clutch assembly that can be adjusted to get more clamp on the travel disk. I no longer have my L4150 WSM but if you take off the inspection plate (side of the flywheel housing) and jack up one rear wheel, (trans in 8th gear) you can turn the tire and roll the clutch so the bolts come into the window one at a time to be adjusted. Each bolt has a clearance gap that needs to be reduced to compensate for clutch wear. It might not have ever been done before - certainly worth a check before you dive deep and split the tractor.

There is a thread here on dual clutch adjustment for a somewhat smaller Kubota model (L3250) that gives the general idea. Not sure -but the inspection cover on your L4150 may be easier to access than the L3250's which hides behind the loader frame.
