We put in a new oil gauge on the Kubota L260 today. It originally had a oil sensor light and not a pressure gauge.
That was easy.
The hard part was the thermostat sensor.
When I remover the original one it came out bent. That makes me think it was not original and bent when installed. I don't know.
When I installed the new universal sensor, I was able to seat the bolt but the sensor still wobbled around and was loose.
So my questions are, did I need a washer or a o ring to get the right fit, did the previous owner damage the head so that the new sensor will not fit?
I think I'm headed to Kubota in the morning.
All advice is welcome.
