There is lots of conversation here on different brands of Korean tractors. Could we have history of the different brands and the companies who make them. I would like brands being sold today and if some no longer are being sold those also. Kioti as been here for here years but has made little inroads and there is a LS dealer about 35 miles aware but have not seen any inventory yet.

LS Tractors - Wikipedia

"LS Tractors is an engineering company. It is a division of LS Cable in South Korea. The group was originally part of the LG conglomeration, and was known as LG Tractors and LG Cable, respectively.

LS is associated with Mitsubishi tractors of Japan for technology, and many tractors are based on Mitsubishi designs, as well as use Mitsubishi engines. New Holland Ag also imports LS tractors to resell as LS-New Holland. (They originally had agreements with Fiat, which purchased New Holland. New Holland is a division of CNH Global). "

"The history of LS Tractors goes back to 1975 as a division of Hyundai, and began with cooperation with Yanmar of Japan. In 1983, the former GoldStar Cable Company acquired the company and renamed it GoldStar tractors. The company names were changed to LG in 1995.

Tractors have been sold under GoldStar, Fiat-GoldStar, LG, LG-Fiat, LG-New Holland, LS and LS-New Holland names in South Korea. In North America, they have been sold as LG Montana, Montana, Farmtrac LandTrac, LongAgri LandTrac, McCormick Tractors and Landini. "

The “other” Orange Tractor. Kioti. | OrangeTractorTalks

I have had my 2013 CK27 for 4 years. No problems ( that weren't aided from me ! ) and warranty work from Kioti was handled well. I have no problem getting parts. Its a good solid tractor that won't rob your wallet like some other brands. There are 3 Kioti dealerships within less than a 2 hr. drive for me....I use the one in Cleveland TN. Dadeong is an old tractor company...Kioti is the name they use for North American sales. You are starting to see more Kioti sales ads on tv and radio.

To be more accurate, they own Kukje, which is the parent company behind the Branson brand.

Amazing how well some of you know some those details. Find this interesting.

Do we have any idea of the number of tractors any brand is selling either in total or say in North America?

Thank you, I actually researched and wrote the articles most of this was pulled from on Tractor & Construction Plant Wiki under Scoty7667. It is AMAZING the number of tractor companies in operation today, both marketers and manufacturers, let alone the number that are no longer in business! China alone currently has around 100 DIFFERENT companies building tractors of different sizes. Check out Tractor & Construction Plant Wiki
