Kama TS354C Liftbox fluid

Does anyone know where to check the liftbox fluid level? It appears the vent cap behind the seat is where I check it but I'm not sure.

Chip, if you read this can you tell me what type fluid is in it if I need to add some?

the vented plug is the fill/check point (behind the seat) some had dipsticks, the level is not critical, but should be within 3 inches of the top. If it is too high, oil will come out the vent when you drop the loader and/or go up a steep hill. I recommend Universal (303 or etc) tractor fluid (aka transadraulic, etc) it is a "20 wt" hydraulic oil with extra lube characteristics(designed for tranmissions) which I think is good for the pump. The chinese use 30 to 40 wt motor oil, but that is slow when cold and no one like the oil the chinese use....

My TS354C hydraulics seem to work just fine with regular old AW32/ISO32 hydraulic fluid. Steering too. I can't help but think that UTF would slow down the loader.

I looked at the tractor again and removed the vent to find it is lower than the stick but I can see the fluid in it (within 3 inches). How do you drain the fluid from the lift box?

Find the hydraulic lift in your parts manual, it's item #43. If you don't have a parts manual, the drain plug is on the right side of the housing near the bottom rear corner. It just looks like a hex head bolt that's otherwise not doing anything.

The single line on the dipstick is the full mark. Fill above that, and you risk losing hydraulic fluid out the vent/fill plug. When the dipstick comes out dry, I just put in enough to bring it back up to the line.
