K & N Filter ??

I blow out the small amount of dust with a long extension on my blow gun, with a 90 degree hook on the end. have considered the wash jobbie, but didn't want to risk particules being deposited onto the inside of the filter either. Low risk I know, but the oppertunity exists for a transfer during the bathing. If the filters can be made to last for 500 hours, I'll just buy new ones then.

Pics of it installed would be great.

I was thinking the Largest diameter, Longest K&N that I could fit under there would be sufficient. With the Turbo "Pulling" air ????

I definitly want to get something in there to keep from paying NH any more than I have to for Air Filters !!!

350, yep! With you on both points. Cost, and needing a large area. I also thought of using a shop vac filter. Large area, and lends itself to using PVC plumbing pipe, and hose clamps. Abandoned that idea also after inspecting several at Home Depot ans seeing that they have a thick filter material than regular air cleaner paper elements. Here's a few photos of what I did. I've run the tractor all through this summer, and the temperture gauage never goes above 1/4 from the cold mark. I guess it's a bit of a cold running beast. The radiator is a heavy duty unit as you can see from the pictures.

Well fellers I serviced the prefilter, and there wasn't that much to toot out. It's a breeze to wrench off, and reverse blow out from the inside with compressed air. How are the builds goings???????:)

IH 3444 ; I think the ehss option is a no brainer. I didn't get the repair manual but I'm guessing it is some sort of hydraulic slave system. Can't be too complicated. You can play with the clutch... I'll move the lever. I thought manual steering was great also, the king of the world. Positive, practical, and a real feel for the ground. Then one day I discovered power steering. It isn't that I don't have the strength to turn the wheel but power made it so nice I enjoyed the task at hand. Any time you add options there is another chance for a malfunction. I enjoy manual transmissions in old performance cars. My new cars and trucks have automatics. One gets driven 100 miles a year, the others 15,000. I wonder why ?
Sorry I got off the beaten path, just had to go there.
