After getting fed up with the lack of capability from my overpriced Kubota B3300SU that I bought last July, I finally worked the deal on a new 2014 last production 4105 with 300cx FEL. I ended up at $23,800.00 total on the new 4105 unit with 0% for 5yrs through JD. I received a promo mailer from JD to trade my Kubota in for up to $2,000.00 additional trade value and I also had a $500.00 Drive Green coupon which allowed me to get $15,000.00 for my Bota and the dealer discounted from right at $28,000.00 on the 4105 to make my total come out to a savings of $30.00 per month to boot! I test drove the new tractor after much deliberation on which model would best suit my needs. I first decided on a New 3R series 3039R, but decided no after the price quote, so then I went for a 4044R and again, not interested in the price. My discount coupons was only good for certain models anyway and the 4000 series was included. I really wanted the 3 speed hydro tranny, but again, not another $5k made me decide to go with the 4105.I had a strict budget to adhere to and for my requirements in this size tractor, I was limited in my choices. I have 10acres right now which is hilly and bumpy, so low gear or slight middle is the most you can deal with from a back pain standpoint. I am very pleased with the deal I got and look forward to it arriving within a few days. I am seriously looking at the iMatch quick hitch as my first mod as well as the power beyond kit to use with a 3pt log splitter. I will probably add a rear work light and the engine block heater for next winter. Any things good or bad that I should be on the lookout for?

I bought one in 2011 my first tractor it does every thing I want it to do. The best mods I put on we're vertical exhaust and tooth bar for bucket. The only trouble I have had was with the neutral safety switch. Here few pics of mine

Thanks for the reply, like I said, I really wanted a 4000 twenty series, but I just couldn't justify the additional money. Nice unit you have there! That gives me hope that I will be more than satisfied with my new tractor. I hope to hear today when it will be here. As for the toothbar, which one is it again? My biggest issue with any of the JD FELs was that the standard bucket is just weak looking and many of the used ones I came across had pretty bad damage from dents or creases. Will the toothbar give enough strength to keep this from happening? Thanks again

You should only get the heavy duty bucket for those uses. The standard bucket is a "materials bucket"

I have the standard bucket it a little dented across the top it has held up real good. I got my tooth bar from John Deere dealer it was little pricy but it made it a digging machine it is also good for clearing out brush and vines It easy to remove for just moving dirt two big bolts hold it on.
The vertical exhaust is well worth it the fan for radiator just blow it right in your face in stock location.
Enjoy your new tractor

It sounds like you made a great deal on your upsizing of tractors. Good job !!

Hopefully the second time's the charm.

Curious why anyone would buy anything overpriced?

Most of the manufacturers are pretty straight forward when it comes to specs which simplifies comparing lines and models...

Well you buy something overpriced because you were uneducated and ill informed by a dealer that you have done business with for over 16 years. Unfortunately, the older gentleman that opened and ran the place passed away and his kids took over. I didn't even price check them or do a ton of research since I always got the best deal from their father. As with many businesses, when the younger generation takes over, so does greed. We sold our Grand L that we had back in 2006 when we moved into a subdivision closer to the city and didn't need a tractor any longer. Since I was out of the market for 7 or 8 years and lost track of the sizing and capabilities, I naturally went directly to the dealership where my first two CUTs were purchased in the past. I found out that the kids seemed to be honest, but After I signed the loan and really looked into the "deal" I realized that they had gotten my for $ 17,200.00 which was fair for the B3300SU with FEL, but thtey stuck me with the required Kubota Insurance, doc fees, and other charges that added another $1,295.00!!! To add to the misery, I asked for a medium duty rotary cutter and they sold me a Landpride RCR1272 that was made so lightly that it had huge dings from the underside after only a couple of uses. I tried to get them to rework the deal and treat me fairly like before, but was told it is what it is. They did end up working out a trade on the cutter for a medium duty RCR1860, but it still cost me $600.00 after the loss of the trade and the additional price of the new mower. So, this is how you overpay and not realize it by trusting someone that you always have. That's probably the last cent they'll get from me and I know of some others that feel the same way. This is how I ended up 35 miles down the road to the JD lot and thankfully, with the trade in coupons and all, I will get what I need and will be happier ever after! Thanks for the replies!!! BTW, hope to get the 4105 either Tuesday or Wednesday...

So it sounds more like problems with the Dealer and attachments than a problem with Kubota.

We just bought and L3800... 4 dealers and 4 prices... varied 12.7% which is alot to me...

Did not go the finance route and never have had insurance... did like the loyalty coupon from Kubota... they didn't have to do it and we appreciate it!
