I am new to Tractorbynet and not sure how this works, but I have a question for anyone who may be able to help me out. I have a JD 4120 john deere and it died while bush hogging yesterday. no problems up until the point it died. it was as if it lost power and when i tried to restart it, nothing happened. not even a click. it acts as if the pto is still engaged when you attempt to start it, but i've checked that and it is not engaged. I checked the fuel, made sure it was out of gear and tried to jump start it and nothing works. the dash instruments do not attemp to move when i turn the key on and the rpm gauge is stuck on 2500rpm, even when the key is off. the head lights, hazard lights, etc. all are working normally. Any suggestions as to what i should check?
