John Deere 111 help

Hi just recently acquired a 1983 John Deere 111
I am having a few questions maybe some one can help me with
1 I am having trouble with one of my front wheels keeps losing its c clip that holds it on the axle .thought of drilling a hole and cotter pin it .
2. Have a snow blower for the front but the mule sometimes drops the belt is there any simple way to fix it?
3. Have a blade but it looks to have 200 series front mount on it is there any way too make it fit the front of a 111 series? Thanks for any help on this.

Hi there! For your first problem i would clean the groove out real good and try getting a heavier C clip from the parts store. You can drill a hole for a cotter pin but make sure you have a nice cutting bit. The axles are hardened steel. For the snow blower issue check that your pulleys not worn out and are in line. As for the plow issue you may consider finding one to fit your 111 and sell or trade the 200 Series plow. Hope you get it straightened out.

Hi just to give an update, so far found a a different plow for it , tried to use it once and realized I need some weight on the rear, next on the project list.i was able to secure a front wheel assembly and to the clips off of it, so that is fixed, the blower is actually a 338 single stage, found a manual for it nearby and got a copy cheap, it turns out I have a couple of pieces missing from it, the gentleman I got the manual from had a 84 111 with the same blower, was able to get the whole thing from him for less than $100. And it has the lifting rod with it one of the pieces missing!! Jd quoted me 75 for the rod if they could get one and this blower is pristine condition and no rust holes like mine had. And gonna weight till 127 garage sale and get rid of blade and maybe other blower too. Thanks for the help if anybody needs a diagram for the snowblower model 321 or 338 feel free to get hold of me
