Hello there!

Writing you guys and gals from the Yukon.

I bought this tractor with great hesitation as it did not have auxiliary hydraulics. Being in the North, there was only one choice to buy at the time, so I was not able to shop around for one that did come with it.

Anyhow, now the time has come where I would like to add front aux lines for a snowblade and possibly a few to the rear for a TNT hitch. I have searched and the general consensus is that this is very expensive and difficult.

My question is, what is involved? I am good at customizing brackets and have a good hose shop nearby. I do not mind having aftermarket levers for this. Has anyone else done this?

Also, if sourced from the JD dealer, how much would this run me, and would it be possible?

It is a 2005, if that helps and has a Hydraulic Thumb with a pin on bucket, tapped into the "power beyond" circuit.

I am new to all of this and would really appreciate any insight.

Many thanks

Dave

This is your hyd data.

Hydraulics:
Type: open center
Capacity: 15 gal [56.8 L]
Pressure: 3000 psi [206.8 bar]
Total flow: 23.6 gpm [89.3 lpm]
12.2 gpm [46.2 lpm] (loader)
16.3 gpm [61.7 lpm] (backhoe)

If you have a PB circuit, and the machine is open center, you already have a path to add as many valves as you need .

You could add a diverter valve up or a 3rd function.

You could add a remote three spool valve for T-N-T.

Cost would be variable as to what you select.

Divider valve, or 3rd function about $150 to $300.

Three spool valve about $300 to $500.

Then hoses and fittings.

Great, thanks for the replies. And thank you for the stats on my tractor!

Yes the previous owner added a thumb which is tapped into the power beyond circuit. So what you are saying, is all I need to do is tee off on that PB circuit, which could power both a front divider valve and rear 3 spool?

If you guys dont mind, can you post a few pictures of what I would need for this? I apologize for being hydraulically inept. But I am learning.

Many thanks,

Dave

You'll add another valve(s) via a daisy chain off the thumb valve's PB port. You can add as many valves as you want as long as they have power beyond ports.

The additional valves can be Tee'd into the return line to drain back into the tank, but all the high pressure connections will come from a power beyond port in the previous valve in the string. The last valve added will be capped on the PB port.
