Anyone ever notice that skid steer implements are loose when mounted to the quick attach plate on the tractor’s boom?

I’ve had a bucket pop off because there was about a 3/8 gap. The pins do go all the way down. What I’m trying to figure out is if its attachments that are the issue or is it the plates on the tractor? As far as I know, the specs for skid steer mounts are pretty universal. I have heard stories of manufacturers not designing attachments to spec. It would be easy to pad the attachment bracket to make it a tighter fit, but if I use it with a different machine, I want it to work with that too.

If I get the chance, I’ll see if the fitment is loose on a bobcat or other brand skid steer but just wanted to see if anyone else experienced this type of issue. I supposed the mounts on these attachments could bend over time/use.

I've never had this issue with my 110, It's most likely the attachment itself, I do find that my mulch bucket is a looser fit than any other attachments.

Thanks Matt. I was thinking of welding some steel plate to the attachment so there is very little slop. My quick attach is a little loose/slop when nothing is hooked up to it, but that doesn’t change the overall dimension of the plate/pin.

I just encountered this thread. I had likewise problems of plate slop and attachment detachment. If you search through my old posts, you'll find my rebuild/retrofit of my plates. The early plates were not as beefy as the later. The plate area has more metal around the lower latch D-pin on later versus earlier. The hole will stretch allowing the latch to cock and introduce slop. Plus the face of the plate will stretch at the exit of the latch, allowing more slop. This is the result of a lot of backdragging.
