Anyone out there own or buy 990 lately

am looking at 990 4wd
MX6/430 loader quoted $ 20,300.00
is this decent

I got quoted this summer, the same deal you are looking at, but it was priced at $18,500.00 Doesn't sound like too good of a deal to me.

The formula where I worked was 23% off list then add $300 for setup. I used to sell 990's at around 15% over cost which is fair but not gouging.

It seems a touch high. I got a little bit more (attachments) for a little bit less than your quote, but I also got the 513 cutter---the light duty precursor to the LX5. Not sure how the MX6 boosts the price.

yes MX6 is more one guy quoted $825 more but other came down on attachment 519.00 with package

also I have heard things are cheaper in south /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif like tennesee/virginia

Lidoug, if you get the MX6 be sure you get extra ballast for
the front. The MX6 weighs about 1100 lbs. I bought a 2001
990 two-wheel drive with 69 hours with a MX5 cutter for
$8500.00. The steal of the century. The guy had paid
$16,500 in 2001, had paid notes for 38 months and still
owed $6500 on the rig. We paid Deere off and I paid him
$2000 cash. The MX5 weighs 850 lbs. I have three 42-lb.
satchel weights on the front and the front is still light when
I pick up the cutter. I am going to add three more weights
to the front for a total of six (252 lbs.) I love my tractor
and cutter. I have since bought a 6 1/2 ft disc and a 5-ft
harrow. Also a friend gave me a boom pole. I now want a
box blade.
