Using the word 'every' makes it sounds as if the standard has to undergo extensive modification to cover 'every oddball or antiquated grounding possibility' which is clearly false and misleading.

Try actually reading what I said about inclusiveness, and that the standard does not cover them, both of them, because of creating more confusion, not less.

Just to add electrons to this fire: Every Telephone PBX battery system and every Telephone Central office is Positive Ground. Always has been and still is. AND talk about blowing stuff up. If you hook up something wrong on the huge battery banks in a central office let me tell you, you are going to know it and really really fast. We are talking about huge copper buss bars turning white hot and dropping on the floor in a liquid state. And all this happens before you can say "gosh darn it". Vehicles are the anomaly having negative ground systems. There now.. that should elicit some responses.

I wonder why it's so hard to admit that there are vehicles out there that are positive ground, and the procedure to charge them are different.
