Loader JD 5075 - 553 vs 520m Loaders

Gentlemen

I am looking a buying a JD 5075 soon and have a few questions.

The first tractor is a 2019 model with a 520m loader. 350hours (Asking 46,000)

The second tractor is a 2014 with the 553 loader. 450 hours (Asking 43,000)

I have some loader work that needs to be done in the future and am trying to get an idea between the pro and cons of each loader. I have seen the capacities of each but am more concerned with the toughness of each. The 553 seems a bit less substantial when compared to the 520m, but i have no first hand experience with either. I only have a 512 loader on a 5045d.

I have no experience with a 520, but the 553 on my 2012 5075e has been through all sorts of abuse and hasn't given a moment of trouble in 12 years. I mainly use the tractor in forestry work, and use the loader more as dozer blade than a loader.

It has pushed down countless trees, dug ditches, pushed me out when stuck, and served as a winch with logging chain when really stuck. I wouldn't think you would be unhappy with it if used for it's actual intended purpose. Good luck deciding!

The 553 was the first quick attach loader for that series, sort of a big brother to the slow attach 512.

The 520M was the newest upgrade.

I had spec'd out a 5075E with 553 loader a few years back and didn't see anything wrong with 553.
