Need advise on pricing (Canadian) for the above mentioned tractors. I recently priced a 4320 and got a price of $32336 CDN plus tax (no cab, 400x loader ). I found online pricing for a 4105 for $25327 CDN plus tax (no cab, 300x loader)

Basically can anyone with experience on these models tell me in their opinion if the 4320 is worth $7000 more than the 4105. I realize it has more HP and a John Deere engine vs Yanmar but is that enough to make up the price increase.

Thanks

I've owned a 4300 for 10 years. It has a 3-cylinder 32HP Yanmar engine. It has never failed to start nor has it had even 1 problem in those 10 years. Plenty of power for me since I use it primarily to push snow but it really boils down to what you need.

The $7000 dollar question hinges greatly on what/where/how you plan to use the tractor.

A little bit of comparison will illustrate that the 4320 has significantly better hydraulics and the loader capacity (400X and 400CX) is more than double the lifting capability of the 300x (or the 300cx).

The 4320 also has independent rear brakes (the 4105 has a single brake pedal). 4320 has planetary final gears for both front and rear differentials vs a spur gear differential on the 4105.

You can add more hydraulic outlets (SCV's) to the 4320 vs the 4105 and the backhoe option for the 4320 is a significantly more powerful hoe (485BH vs 475BH) than the 4105 BH.

The eHydro on the 4320 has 3 ranges vs 2 ranges on the 4105. This has a real-world impact when mowing, raking or clearing snow, etc.

Of course, you can more easily power larger mowers, tillers, rear blades, box blades and other 3pt implements. That can change the number of hours or passes around the field you have to make when getting the work done...

Really comes down to what you need to get done and if you want to spend a little more money to do it!

Best of luck with your decision.

Thanks for the advice.

My main use for the tractor would be snow removal in the winter and general landscaping yard work in summer. I will not be grass cutting or tilling with it, but would like to get either a rear blade or box blade to maintain/improve my 600ft driveway.
I have a rural 10 acre piece of land and ideally would like to get the backhoe attachment in the future as well so I am leaning towards the 4320, I just wish the price wasn't so high.

If you like the features of the 4x20 series, but not the price, don't rule out 3x20 series. If you really "need" the extra lifting power on the loader etc that's one thing, however, you can get a BH for the 3x20 and for snow, depending on your location in Canada a 3x20 may be more than satisfactory. Check for MSRP pricing in CDN$ on the website for comparison purposes.

Very good advice from Cinder! The 3520-3720 have the same engine as the 4105 and very nearly the same performance specs for all categories.

And you can get a cab with the 3000 machines!!! With 3-range eHydro...

Yep, I agree with Cinder and AkFish. Cab is good!
