I've got a 4' box blade and so far it's doing what I need, but I'd like it to be a little more convenient for me.
I called the JD dealer near me and asked him if I could install a hydraulic top cylinder. He put me on hold for a few
minutes and came back to say that the salesman said no. There is no rear hydraulic port to operate a hydraulic top cylinder.
I know that there isn't rear ports, but I figured that you could probably piggy back off the FEL and run some back?
Is this something that can be done or not? Maybe the tractor doesn't have enough power?....that doesn't even sound right
since I'd only be using one or the other at a time. I have been talking with Brian at Fit rite hydraulics, but he's even
talking over my head a bit since I have no idea how any of this would work or how I would even ask for what I need.
Plus they have a huge back order right now of over 14 weeks!
Basically, can it be done, what would I need and how would it get hooked up?
Thanks for your help in advance!
