Glad you got it fixed. Real surprised it was bent. Can't imagine what or how ...

After thinking about how it could get bent, I remember loaning the tractor to my brother a few times. My guess is that he bent it somehow. There is not a lawn mower or tractor or a vehicle made that he cannot tear up.

Funny stuff there. I have the same style brother. Best of luck with the now working lift arm.

My 2305 came with a travel bar. I took it off when I first bought the tractor and put on a TSC county line box blade. I jumped on the first time and was supposed that the deck wouldn't lift up. It took me a few mins to figure out the 3 point arms were not spread far enough for the arm to catch and make it lift. I now have the iMatch and have fabricated all my rear implements to fit it. With all that said, I noticed your turn buckles are screwed in and a bungee pulling the arms together. Could it be that it's as simple as spreading the arms to make it look normal and function ? Not intended to insult: just hard to help diagnose with words and pics. I'm a hands on .... Lastly- I think from the pics, every thing looks normal- surprised no expert has chimed in to help you. Let me know what you come up with. Bill

I had the same problem and just came across this old posting. This was exactly the problem. Pulling the arms together prevents the left one from hitting the bell crank and thereby raising the mower deck. After reading this it rang a bell. I dug my travel bar out of the shed and re-installed it. Bingo, it pushed the arms apart and the left one was under the bell crank and raised the deck. Thanks for saving me $150!

Glad the posting helped you. When I first purchased my tractor and didn’t know it’s hidden secrets, this one got me good.
If you look back thru the pics, that little strap I welded on worked well for me. Should have came from the factory with it. Adding a quick disconnect implement will solve it either way.

It is not bent- it is VERY hardened steel. Your lift arms are not spread wide enough. The 2210 comes stock with a spreader rod, held in place by cotter pins. Many users buy the John Deere Easy Hitch, which maintains enough distance to spread the bars very wide. Either add the original spreader bar, or add the Easy Hitch, and your lift will work perfect.
