Ingersoll case had one made by mackissic. ist the 12p but is is powered with a Hyd motor that plug into the tractor valve the same way my Hyd finish motor runs. My local dealer is not to keen on giving uot all the info I need so I can build it myself, even though I will get the parts from him.

I want to convert from belt drive off a B+S engine to HYD motor powered by my 6018 before.jpg

You've probably already come across the parts breakdown for a 12p but here it is anyway.

If you know what rpm was required you could likely get a hyd motor and fab something up.

Hey thanks for4 the list I had one similar. The one I need is MacKissic's version as it was built for Ingersoll. I guess I'll call them again today and try and track it down

I would guess that the B&S ran at about 3000 to 3500 RPM. You'll need a hydraulic motor that runs at that speed... I think the Ingersoll uses an open center system like power beyond.

you'll need the Hydraulic motor, hoses and connectors and an open center valve with detent.

Ok, so I went with the repower instead of the HYD conversion. I figured its about the same cost for a mail order 9hp as it is for a Hyd moter, fittings, and a new valve, and I cant move the ingersoll 6018 while we are shreading and chipping. So to keep the wife busy while i'm driving the tractor I decided to repower with a 9hp Carroll Stream Motor Company. They delivered a Honda Knockoff to my door for $253.00 including shipping, and it runs great. I had to fabricate a new belt guard as the origional was lost log ago by the last owner. Put a new set of sneakers on it fron the local hardware store and we are off to the races. Here is the before and after shots. Runs like a champ bogs down a little when chipping bigger than 2" but I am very impressed with this 1975 MacKissic shreader.

Nice job and a whole lot cheaper that a new one. That belt guard is much better than the plastic that's on my new model. That looks like a B & S 8 HP that was on the original. I hope that the B&S that is installed on mine is as good...although it runs okay now. B&S made really good stuff back in the 70's. May your Honda knock off serve you well. MacKissic is good for service and parts BTW. I've already bought back-up belts etc from them by phone.

Yea thanks. Its a "75" but has the 1-3/16 shaft which was an upgrade, The SN# according to MacKissic is a 1" shaft machine. I had a Machine shop buddy make me 2 spare chipper blades out of tool steel and had them heat treated.
I am impressed with the machine really. I have all of $450 into it and its like new except not $2100 new.
