2012 Kioti DK45SE, 1994 JD LX176
Well, after decades of wanting a tractor, and years of forum memberships, I've finally taken the plunge. I've ordered a new Kioti DK45SE, cab, HST, 2nd remote, R-1 loaded tires, KL401 loader with bucket teeth and chain hooks, Woods pallet fork, Woods Quick Hitch, Woods 6' rotary cutter, and Kodiak 6' tiller. Kicker is that I won't be able to have it delivered for about a year until our new house is completed. My daughter and son-in-law have purchased 12 acres in Tennessee, and will be building me a "Mother-in-law" suite along with their new house, to be completed about this time next year. The dealer is going to store my new baby until the place is ready, as none of us have any place for it now. I do get visitation rights, though! I went ahead with the purchase now to beat next week's price increase and the Tier 4 final totally new electronic engines next year. I will post pics after it all comes in, and more when I can actually use it.

Why the quick hitch?

Congrats on the purchase and welcome to the pack!

And Murphy: not to be rude but do you have beef against quick hitches? I noticed on a post of mine you questioned the purchase of a quick hitch.....

Congrats GW.....or do I wait a year for that too? Really, I don't blame you, the epa is just strangling diesels slowly to death.....good call!

Why the quick hitch?

Well, because I am an "official old f@rt" with arthritis and because I plan to wind up with a number of three point implements - a rollover box scraper, a one-row cultivator, a seeder/spreader, maybe a trailer mover, etc., and I want to be able to change implements quickly and easily. If I could afford it, I would probably go with the delta hitch, but that one costs a king's ransom because you have to buy a plate for each implement.

Not being touchy (note started with disclaimer of rudeness). Just wondering where ya were coming from. I agree the factory hitch is easy, but I believe with quick hitch is easier. I'm a fan of easier.

If you need a place to store it and make sure it gets exercised I've got a small shed:

with just a little bit of land:

just south of Tennessee.

I'd make sure it got a little workout every once and a while :) :)

In case you couldn't get by to exercise it :)

/edit - for s0me reason my images don't seem to be showing up on my computer.
