I have just bought a used Kubota F3060 with 60" deck and the GC-F30A grass catcher. I want to change the hyd fluid and filter, but have no idea what brand of fluid is in it now. I know the manual recommends Kubota UDT or Super UDT and warns of mixing brands of fluid. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I'm using the same Cen-Pe-Co multi purpose in my older F2000 as it is what I use in my tractors.
In your case why not use the Super UDT the mower doesn't hold that much.

Myself I would never consider using anything but Kubota SUDT2 in your F along with Kubota filters. Since you are or should be draining the fluid you are not mixing fluids and more than likely the fluid in it is Kubota SUDT. Many people on this forum have said they left the SUDT fluid to save $3 and then drained the cheaper/different brand fluid and returned to the SUDT fluid so ended up much more expensive. I've had several Fs (2 F3080s) and have for around 15 years and this is my opinion.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I did happen to find the shop that did the servicing. They used Amalie All Trac 245, so I will stick to what is in it already.

Yeah, I use SUDT in my Ford. It's actually cheaper at TS. And when you need over 15 gallons per change, those $3 bills add up. ;)

That will probably work for you since you've never used one with the SUDT to know how they perform and the sound/whine the hydro transmission makes with the SUDT vs other brands. Shame to not take the opportunity to do the comparison now having used it with the other brand already. Again, your not mixing the fluids if you drain the old fluid and filter replaced.

If it's for the hydrostatic transmission I would personally to with the Kubota recommendation and use their top line fluid. I think that's currently UDT-2. The transmission whine should be noticeably reduced. All hydraulic fluids are not equal.

The F3060 manual recommends 13.5L (14.3 quarts) of Kubota UDT or Super UDT fluid.
I would check the system carefully for any leaks and repair if needed, before fluid change.
