Hey guys, I just picked up a HD 10' howse bush hog that someone tried to replace the pads and installed new hardware but they put it back together wrong and it is out of time/ balance. Ive got it apart and im going to put the couplings back on the shafts in the exact same way. All the bolts pointing the same and see if that helps the balance. The question i have is how do i position the blades? One pointing 12 and 6 o'clock and the other 3 and 9 o'clock? What is the correct way? thanks guys Charles

That is the correct blade setting for timing. I have seen occasions, when I could not get it exact settings, without loosening the gearbox and moving the splined yoke 1 or 2 teeth to get the correct timing position. Ken Sweet

Thanks Ken. It would be nice if the thing had timing marks but i'll just have to play with it until i get it right.
