New to this place with a purchase of a used L2500. It came with turf tires but I bought some rims for ag tires. It will be out in the woods during deer season so I wanted the tougher tires. Also will be pulling a small disk in the spring.

Attached is the picture of the rims one turned one way and the other the other way. I've ordered a owners manual but it hasn't arrived yet. From some reading around here and looking I see that the rim has inner and outer lugs for spacing, but can the rim also be flipped? I'm looking for a bit wider stance over a narrow one. I may not need to go all the way as I was mowing this past weekend on a hill and with the turf tires the tractor was not tippy or jumpy at all. I think the extra weight of this tractor helps. But I may want to be on the safe side.

So what are all the combinations here.

Thanks a bunch!
Rob

Hmmm, maybe pic not working...here is a link to the picture and a picture of my new toy...

You still have an incorrect URL for the picture of the rims. The correct URL should be Rim Picture

I would wait for the owners manual to see if they can be "flipped". With them flipped and mounted on the farthest out lugs you might be putting too much stress on the axles.

If you are concerned about hillsides you could fill the rear tires to 50% . All of the added weight would be below the center of the axle at 50% fill.

I 'flipped' the ag tires/rims on my L2350 to get them the max width apart. The owners manual showed the configuration they are in now as the widest option so you will be fine setting them that way on your L2500.

Thanks, thought I edited that picture once already.

Just got the owners manual from the Fedex man. Wheel config can go from 40.2" up to 51". Looking at the picture they have it on the 40.2 setting. Took a bit looking at the weak manual pictures but to go to the widest setting the rims must switch sides. This keeps the tires pointed in the right direction and moved the flanges to the inside of the rims. Or at least it looks that way. The disks or centers always stay with the dish pointing outward, like the wheel on the left in my pics...best I can tell.

Thanks for the reply.

I don't know a thing about your tractor, but if it's a 4x4 you have to change front and back tires to the the ratio correct or you can destroy the 4x4 drive terrain.
