How to Install a 60g Compressor?

   / How to Install a 60g Compressor? #31
I bolted mine down using three hockey pucks as isolators. Gives me more than enough clearance to reach the drain and the pucks were cheap. I just didn't feel comfortable with my kids(5) out in the garage with it on it's own and I'd heard leaving it on the pallet makes it noisier due to the vibration. Bolt it down. Who cares about a few holes? Really, they can be filled latter if you move it.

As a follow up - based on all ya alls ideas...I purchased a 48x36 hard rubber mat from TSC, floor mounting kit, using the square pre-drilled metal plates, drilled through the mat and into the floor to complete the install. works and looks great. thanks for eveyone's help and I wanted to share my idea about the mat...

Glad you got it mounted in a way you like. Incidentally, I was in our local Northern Tool store this morning and noticed a couple of the smaller Puma compressors; hadn't see a Puma in several years, but I see now that they have the same Puma model PK6060V on their website that I had in my shop before we moved back to town. Of course it was 230 volt and as I said, I just left it on the pallet as the salesman at Industrial Air in Arlington, TX, recommended and it never moved at all. I sure liked it, and the real estate agent that sold our place had a farm in the area, too, and he bought my Puma compressor.
