If you see it on National Geographic channel, it's worth watching. While the focus on the episode was about his hog, the went into a lot of detail about wild hogs all over the country. Tons of good information about them and none of the Rambo junk about how dangerous they are.

I classify them right next to deer on the dangerous game category and find it humorous every time I hear about somebody being charged or attacked by a wild hog. It just doesn't happen. They might run in your direction when scared, but that's just to get away from where they think the danger is. Try to find valid reports of wild hog attacks on humans and you'll see that in every case, they where wounded or cornered or in some other way unable to get away.
