Hinged Box Blade vs. Fixed edge Box Blade

It's not that much of an angle change.

Besides for the $1000+ difference, I'm willing to live with a little less than optimum angle.

I am curious as to just how much it is. Any chance of some side pics along with how much of an angle change that it actually is?

If not, no big deal, but it would be interesting to actually see some pics side by side. I agree, for the additional cost, you need to be using them a fair amount. ;)

I bolt my rear blade down when smoothing gravel. Extend the top link and let the gravel flow under the front blade. Works great.

As for the scarifier, I agree you can get by with extending/shortening the top link and save some bucks. Not ideal, but doable. Also agree with Brian, changes the angle of the teeth quite a bit by doing that. But in everything but the hardest material, probably not noticeable.
