Deerefan correctly guessed it was a picture of a laser. I took a laser pointer and shined it into the aperture of me cell phone camera. Ended up with an interesting picture. Thanks for guessing.

Actually yes I have, still works fine. Honestly I wasn't too concerned, because I had a iPhone 4s on the way.

If you didn't know, your can check the IR function on a remote control by activating the remote and looking at the image on your phone's screen. Two white lights, your remote is working (at least it's producing an IR signal)
