I use a rear remote for my grapple on the 2030. I did run hoses from the remote then use bulkhead fittings and quick couplers by my mid loader quick couplers mainly because I take my loader off a lot and did not want to mess with routing the hoses clear to the back every time. Also the third function hard line kit came with hoses only long enough to make it to the mid mount couplers. So I bought hoses to make it the rest of the way to the back. I had the couplers so I made a bracket and mounted them. I could have just hooked the hoses together.
There are two basic types of grapples. Debrie, which look a lot like a tine bucket with a grapple, and root rake/clam shell. The one on the 2030 in my avitar is a root rake/clam shell type.
I think the debrie would be better for sliding under things and picking them up. The clam shell you push into a pile and then clamp the grapple. The root rake/clam shell will dig better.
One or two grapples? Both get the job done.
Weight, don't buy too heavy where your loader capacity is all used carrying the grapple. Or too light where you will bend it all up. Depends how hard you will use it.
