Thanks for that. I will take it off and see what it looks like. I am in the azores islands so cannot order parts easily.....they take a while to get here from England.

It was e3asy to take off. Two 14mm bolts with 15mm nuts hold it to the axle housing,. Then there is a long bolt with a 12mm nut that connects the two sides together. The welding here was 5 euros and for 16 dollars I would have bought new but that is not possible here, believe me!!! But I would like to express my thanks to those who said this could be a problem area otherwise I would never have discovered it! I will read these forums more carefully in the future, Jim

I originated this 17 months ago and hadn’t checked back for a long time. The pictures of the broken parts are just like mine. My big problem came from not spotting the problem until it was catastrophic, and my wife lost the hydraulic oil so it came to a stop. By that time there was too much damage to the brackets for a good weld. The second failure was caught early, brackets easy to weld and should be better than original but other parts like the cylinder did get beat up so it’s a good thing to check frequently.

I would never have looked but for your post....and wall!. It has been welded and no other damage done. I will keep an eye on it now for sure. My thanks to you
