Thomas, shake it off, sleep it off, feel better

pictures of Middleburg VA and local bakery.
I declined to pay 35 dollars for an apple pie, found something cheaper
plus the Boxwood Estate winery operation
I bought one bottle of their Trellis blend,
which is a French Bordeaux style red blend
2020
hopefully five years calmed it down
will take it to my brother's and have with some nice dinner
his wife makes for us.

winery very fancy, quite the grand cellar
they do a lot of events and parties here, lots of seating outside plus a limited
munchie menu
Their wines run from 24 to 60, plus some special ones more expensive.
Fine for a gift or special occasion. I usually spend much less.

very strong wifi, what my little hockey puck pumps out is remarkable.
so even though on a large Virginia farm this whole area is truly wired to the teeth

big diesel pusher had very cool tasteful Christmas lights on his windows, looked very pretty at night

big bull chowing down right next to the road on way out of campground

Had a chance to sneak out for a bit this afternoon, and get the last two deck boards milled and screwed down on the trailer. I haven't decided yet whether to install a third row of deck screws to control the gaps between boards a bit better at the tail end, but I'm leaning toward no. These boards were almost perfectly clear, only one knot in a full dozen 2x8x16's. But being roughed and dried without jointing, they're not pin straight.

It was after dark by the time I finished cleaning up tools, but the phone's camera does a pretty good job in low light:

Still a few trim pieces to attach, such as the piece of angle that holds the far end of each board down at the front of the trailer, and then the battery wiring project begins. New battery mounts are aft of the fenders, so I'm planning to drill and grommet the railings, to run battery cables forward inside the railing.

big chunk of walnut came in today to be used as the backing for
a pot hanging bar in my kitchen. 1.75 " thick. 4 inch screws to mount it and then 1.5 inchers on the
bar mount. Lastly the tung oil came in.
So what I need now is a router.
I once had a nice dewalt router. Told myself I was going to learn how to use it.
never did, but one of those decorative bits might put a nice front end on this wood.
going to mosey up to Popgadget's garage and see what the choice of bits/styles are available.
early Greek gothic?? perhaps something with Doric columns...Something simple actually.
Then I have a lot of hand sanding to do and a lot of predrilling.
no stripped screws
no stripped screws

Lessons learned - or at least shared
So as previously posted, Sophie’s Subaru, less thanyr old, 1253 miles didn’t start yesterday morning.
Pressed to start button only to be greeted by clicking. Should have immediately realized, but no, attempted twice more. Apparently this really drains the battery.
Figured this would be an easy jump start. Not quite. Just not the same as vehicles of my youth. Waited until after coffee.
Have one of those lithium boosters, but not 100%.
Car in garage so no way to jump from my truck.
Did research the manual.
Hooking in the booster caused lots of flashing icons etc.
Checked battery, under 10v
Apparently volts need to be higher even for booster to work.
Some AI research, nothing worked.
Even with 100% booster, cannot jump without a good battery.
After about 6 hours on charger, battery still not showing 50%. A bit concerned battery is toast. Went to town, bought new battery. Placed both old and new on chargers overnight.
Both fully charged this morning.
Old one showing 13.1v
Hooked back up, attached 100% charged booster, started first push of button. PHEW

Trickle charger on order.

Good (Friday) morning. Overnight Low of 5C and it's presently 17.8C, mostly clear with a slight breeze.

A busy day yesterday. I went into town to drop off the 'driver medical' form at the Services Tasmania office followed by walking across the road to the PO where I found my new driver license in my 'Box'. Hmmm... the lighting when the new picture was taken must've been particularly bright as my hair (head & beard) sure are a LOT whiter than from 5 years ago.

Then it was over to the Base Hospital to have the 'Foot Dude' do my pedicure. Followed by going back into town to the clinic for Sister to take samples for bloodwork... it was the first time that I'd had to actually pay for one of the tests.

Today is simply a wood-stacking day.

That's about it, take care all.
