Good morning!!!!

The plowing was done by 11:30, went out at 9 and warmed up tractor until 9:30. I still haven't turned the BB to cut. The ground is not frozen enough yet.
I called the foreman I used to haul to, he is up in Timmins, ON (4.5 hours north) he has about 8" on the ground compared to my 3".

I limit my pancake intake to 3 medium sized (6-7" diameter by 1/2" thick), smothered in Maple syrup. I haven't had any in 2 months.

I think I will check out the local news and then hit the sack.

What its doing is it will pierce the cut, then lower to start xy movement, but about 1/2" later it jumps up about 3/8" to 1/2" high and keeps cutting..

That would be consistent with high resistance in the arc voltage sense wiring.
My guess is that it’s got a voltage divider, so it’s looking at a far lower than raw arc voltage, so a high resistance connection would greater impact.
The torch height is controlled by sensed voltage, a longer arc has a higher voltage, so if it thinks the voltage is low, it will raise the torch to get to the “correct” voltage.

The Langmuir tables are pretty good, but you will be on your own to setup and troubleshoot, as they are DIY, not a turnkey solution. The upside is that you will know how everything works, and will have an easier time troubleshooting.
There is also an active community, which can be helpful, but like all things internet, can take you down a dirt road if you follow blindly.

good morning all
37 going up to only 47 today, should be a nice day to drive, with
a rain system coming in tonight. Should make rv sleeping nice...
simple drive today, out PA turnpike and then South at Harrisburg on route 15
down into MD and VA. Campground is right off 15 above Haymarket.

not pleased to find the roof plastic cover for my Dometic rv fridge in the treeline yesterday.
Wind had ripped it off and broke the plastic mounts. Not expensive part to replace but it all has to be
fully redone, taking off all that self leveling caulk and redoing. Pretty sure I can't just redrill the cover and
glue it on, I simply cannot climb the ladder any more and can't get up on my roof. And my friends are getting older
and a job for a younger person. Looks like a thousand dollar job at dealer, sigh. I don't think driving with the compressor fins exposed
will hurt anything other than getting bugs in there. Will need a good hosing before new cover goes back on. Since those fins are made to dissipate heat, and it's cold out...fridge should work fine. Actually good time to clean the fins; still have some cleaner left over for when I cleaned the outside
compressor at the house.

time for a nice long hot shower, including washing my feet...rv shower is so small it takes contortions to get everywhere...so I shower well before
I go. I expect to leave around 9am, figure 4.5 hours including a short stop.

I'm looking forward to a nice visit with my oldest brother. He can no longer drive due to some undisclosed neuropathy, or something...., so I'm going down to see him with my own eyes, see if I can help in some way. Thankfully both his kids live in Northern VA.

bought some apples and pears yesterday to take with me
not sure if stars will align for everyone involved but hope to have an early lunch with Frits and Dennis
near Gettysburg on Thursday on way home. Anyone else in the area, sure welcome. Olivia's, 11am.
Med restaurant, looking forward to some lamb gyros.

have no idea why this thought popped up, perhaps odd...but speaking of feet washing, always had a residual
faith element. It was always a sign of humility that folks would wash the feet of others.
clearly in parts of the world where they go around without shoes I guess, or I guess sandals.

nice critter Wagtail

Drinking hot cup of coffee. 19° with partly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 36° with some snow then rain. Yesterday Son and I took all my fuel cans to get them filled. Off Road Diesel $3.30 per gallon. Recreational gas $4.25 per gallon. Then a short trip to Harbor Freight. My purchase $4.11. Son's purchase $139. Rest of the day was spent enjoying each others company. Son will be leaving this morning for Columbus, OH, Not sure what I will be doing today yet.

Good morning TBN!!
30 this morning but supposed to be near 70 this afternoon. No rain in sight.

Yesterday I spent way too much time putting 3 calipers on the buggy. Finally got them done but still in the bleeding process. Never had such a hard time with breaks and I spent most of my early years in Ohio under salt rusted cars. Gonna have to get the wife to help me today. Just can't get the air out on my own. Oh well no rush.
That was really all I did except take the dog for his usual walk.

Time for a second cup
Everyone have a great and safe day!!

good morning, 28 going to 47 cloudy conditions

I was not that happy with the blacksmith vise installation so decided to redo it and dismantled it and reworked it. Spindle was in good condition and all parts were good. Reworked the yoke so the vise could be lowered and ended up with a 5/8 inch gap at the floor. Much better and have a way to shim that up and anchor it to the floor to finish the install

Kyle a much sturdier table would be nice but I am using what I got without having to buy or build something. These vises just need to balance essentially since they are supported on the vice post that rests on the floor. Many current blacksmiths use them on a stand alone stand that can be moved around to set up a convenient work flow

Picking up groceries and prescriptions today. Might get back to the wood stacking again
