Good morning!!!!

Good morning! You guys up North forgot to close your window. It's freezing this morning at 31˚ for the second time this Fall, but heading to 55˚ with sunny skies and no chance of rain. House temp has dropped to 68˚ but it is going down slow enough that the central gas heater is still not needed only electric space heaters in the bathroom.

The Toyota dealer texted pics of new truck, looks good, have taken care of everything in this Costco deal via e-mail, so only one trip to the dealership to exchange vehicles. Need to clean up the Ford today.

topped off the motorhome yesterday before I parked it, 27 gallons @3.19 for regular
no gas bargains around here.
so I'm topping off tank to minimize condensation over the winter, and here I have no choice but to put
10% ethanol in there, which of course attracts water.
I have a 40 gallon tank and it showed just under half full so reminds me to hunt for gas earlier vs later.
reminds me of an old chevy gas gauge, would stay full for a long time and then start sinking fast

remembered I forgot to turn off the rv's master battery switch so next trip down will do that.
probably will take the entire rear left tail light assembly home and carefully clean all the contacts.
Top rear left light out too, the one Popgadget replaced for me, so they must be wired together.
The rear of the Hella light fixture is open to all the road dirt and water blown back, and the lamp holders
are these snap fit plastic devices that don't maintain enough pressure. Get a lot of dirt in there and
there goes the connection. Once I know it works again, will crawl under there with some repair tape and see if I can
block off the open section of assembly, keep the dirt out. I'm stuck with the poor connectors so perhaps if I can keep them cleaner
that will prevent this happening again. This stuff all ought to be gasket sealed and it's not.

having sat on a school board for a long time, the safety of the kids is so paramount and the parents so litigious that school districts
just don't take many chances. And always a pressure to make an early decision because getting unplanned child care is a known hot button
with parents.

If both lights are out, it’s a safe bet that it has nothing to do with the fixtures. I wouldn’t start taking them apart until I checked the wiring going to them. I agree that the bottom fixtures are not the best, but this is a good example of confirmation bias.

good morning, 32 going to 39 snowing, not much on the ground some ice and sleet. Looks to be a lot less than forecasted

Package came in for the welding cart. Really heavy and was not able to lift it but got it moved down to the shop.
Will post picture when assembled

Checked on a circuit in the van. Helps to have a red light for blown fuse

Need to reschedule the Dr appointments

Morning all, 31 going to 39 and rain/sleet, not sure if it will turn to snow at this temp and warmer ground.

Good meeting with the boss, she has told me about some more group changes, so hoping that means I am around for a while.

Still need to figure out why heat not working right in the Jeep.

Otherwise , day job is busy.

Be well,

Good Morning
31° and grey outside, looks like this will likely be a rain event for us, possibly some sleet to start.

Yesterday was another slow day, just meandered about the shop doing small tasks that have been put off. Ran a CAT6 line to printer that stopped communicating by WiFi. It’s always fun fishing wires….

I fell prey to a cyber Monday sale and bought a new TIG welder. Basically an upgraded and more powerful version of the one that I already have. I guess that one will go on the block once I get the new one.

Uneventful Oddfellows meeting, we barely had a quorum.

Today will start with breakfast with the professor, hopefully the weather won’t make the ride “interesting”.

I grew up in N Ohio. I don't remember having many snow days. Not like NC. When I first moved here they were closing the whole state based on a 1" forecast. Amazed me!
Tell us about it.
Having grown up in northern Vermont I was absolutely amazed how they close down schools in Mississippi on a forecast of any snow.
But then after seeing how the people CAN'T drive in a dusting it makes sense.
