Well,the dealer isn't really dealing on the price,says it retails for around $10,000 and he is willing to sell it for $9700...

Seems at $9700 he is too close in price to a brand new 2011 4025 (with power-steering). That dealer must be fond of that tractor. Make him a cash offer and give him a day or so to ponder it. Sometimes the sales people aren't aware of aged product discounts that they may have available to them. Or shop for a new 4025.
