Ford 4610 rear remote will not disconnect

Hello, I have just bought a Ford 4610 with a local New Zealand quick connect loader on it. Went to remove the loader today. Probably the first time in 10 or more years at a guess and the hose for the loader in the rear remote will not release. There seemed to be no collar under the dust cover to pull. I have pushed, twisted and pulled. Tapped the aluminium housing to try and release with no luck. Out of ideas. Can any one surest a fix or what I may be doing wrong. Thanks

Open and close the valve going to the rear remote to release the pressure on it. Push in on the male end of the hydraulic fitting plugged in to the rear remote and then quickly pull back on it, it should release.

Thanks Happy. Have released the pressure with no luck. Maybe just to many years and corrosion has got to what ever the locking mechanism is??

Can you show us a picture of the QD.

If you can twist both hoses, then it is not frozen.

The little balls that drop in the groove might be rusty.

Spray with penetrating oil and keep twisting and pulling.

If no success, the replace both QD's.
