FORD 1700
I have just recently purchased a 1979 Ford 1700 tractor with 1680 hours . It's in good condition but I want to service it before using it this summer for bush hogging etc.
My question for you guys is can the fuel injection pump be serviced ? If so how ? What kind of pump does it have ?
Thanks for the forum. I really enjoy all the good information . 20180402_085338[1].jpg20180402_085446[1].jpg

Yep, looks just like my 1900 except yours has two injectors mine has three. But those phillips screws there near the bottom center with the hex head bolts are the drain (bottom one) and the upper one is the fill to point. You just drain the oil out and refill it with 30 weight through the top fill point at the breather. I've done mine twice in 10 years. I don't use it a whole lot but I've found the oil gets contaminated by the diesel in there. It doesn't seem to hurt anything though.
