Flail mower help

got a quote on a Del Morino FLI186 with hydraulic shift. Bit more that I was looking to spend. price without the shift only $300 less. On Tractorhouse the non shift is listed $1500 less than what I got quoted.
They also said they don't stock or sell many Land Pride units, didn't think it was rebadged Maschio, and said it would be too heavy for the tractor, He recommended the 186 Del Morino.
TractorToolsDirect is claiming their Ibex TM73 is made by Del Morino and is around $1500 less than the quote I got.

I went with Novatractor for my flail because it has the nastiest hammers I've found. Over 3 pounds each and they look like metal bear claws. If I was mowing a golf course, I would pick a different tool. But for mowing rough stuff, this thing continues to impress me. It munches berry bush, poison oak and saplings into nothing. It's an import made in China, so if you're dead set against that, then pick something else. I did hit a basketball sized rock hiding in the weeds and broke a pulley, but Novatractor had me a new one in about a week. Good support. We call our flail the "Park Maker" because it will turn an overgrown area into a park like magic. My standard setup is grapple on the front, flail in the rear as we work on making our property more fire safe.
This season we have developed the L shape blades to replace this hammer. There are some fans of L blade insist on Y blade, they believe the Y blade is good to mow small grass like football court, etc.

Never had this demand in Germany, they use this hammer to mow grass no problem.

The Vrismo plant is near us in Ca. and is availale from our dealer who will be delivering it to us in a few days, not a moment too soon since the grasses are really drying up!. We decided on the Minimax 60".
Hi, did Vrismo say where the Minimax is made?

We know people are willing to pay more if the unit is made in US. The problem is this concept is very vague. What is real "made in US"? There are many seller cheating on concept and over-charge buyer.

Both knives will cut grass. However, the Y knives allow for to get mulched a little better.

I run Y knives on my lawn grass and the cut it provides is superb.

Right. They are facing the big challenge from the production from the 3rd world. The production cost in the US is really high for manufacturing. I mean not only the complete products from the OEM factory from overseas, also all kinds of the spare parts, the road for rebuilt in US is a long way to go, it's very difficult to rebuild supply chain.

I think Vrisimo's challenge is not the mowers made by other countries, but the challenge from the mower claimed made in US or Europe, I saw many of them are just assembly in US, even less than assembly. They are playing trick.

I'm curious what your interest is flail mowers and agriculture equipment? Are you associated with a manufacturer? You seem eager to tell us how we are being duped here in the US and have a lot of information and misinformation about flail mowers specifically.

I m an sourcing manager working in China about ag equipment industry, so I have chance to see something here which most TBNer won't know.

Sometimes I just feel funny when I see the cheating happening, some sellers promote that product is proudly made in US and selling a very expensive price, in fact the product is made somewhere else and they just put a sticker says made in US, buyers are paying double price just for a sticker.

I m sure if there are more buyers know the reality and ask the seller, this pressure will force them stop over charge. This is not bad in the recession age.
