Fire starter, what is your recommendation

I found a old Zippo tonight from my smoking days…..
I might buy some lighter fluid and see how that works

I have one of those blue flame torches, they're really nice and compact... myself for my burn pile I have a weed burner torch with a propane tank on a hand truck and a flint igniter on a rope attached to the handle...

I have a propane tank weed torch, but hauling it around 20 acres is a pain in the a..

I bought mine for fires in the woods and starting the wood stove. The drawback is that I have to fill it every few days whether I use it or not.

I use an old egg carton and a single wooden match

Best fire starter is using nice hard maple logs as overnighters and using the coals in the morning

For brush piles, I have always used a "fire box". A cardboard beer case, stuffed with wood chips, branches used paper towels and soaked in diesel or lighter fluid. It sits on a downwind spot and a long wood stove match gets it going.

I always forget the bics or zippos, matches are in abundant supply here though. LOL.
