Only been a year and a half... Another sad thing is I will probably forget how by the next time I want to change something. Pretty complicated Kenwood radio, old eyes, little buttons, big old fingers [ have a hard enough time trying to remember how to turn it on and off as much as I use it ] ... anywhilst, that is MY excuse... Have a safe Hollidays...

To make life easier, down load the user manual, and enlarge the font for easier reading of instructions. I've done this on both of my JVC/Kenwood units.

As tempting as it was to get help from a youngster, there is great satisfaction in figuring things out myself.

Normal bi-focals let me see the manual fairly well, but the radio is stuck up in the cab and not lit up real well. I have a pair or two of tri-focals I used to use back in my working days... but have not looked them up in years. Just remember the days when radio's were fairly easy to work, then they went and ruined it with FM... [ all you had to do was wait for the tubes to warm up... ]

Here's a bifocal trick that I use at work frequently. When having to view things overhead, take your glasses off and flip them upside down and put them back on. Works like a charm.

I feel your pain with the radio. I'm really happy that I get Interlochen Public Radio and I don't know how or why so I don't mess with anything.
I have the problem of nothing working every time I try to fix it.
