Not me....... you know how you need that new tractor !

Keep them both; two tractors isn't too many! Or sell the older one at a future date, when marketing conditions improve? Everytime I have sold in haste, I have regreted it!

Valleydweller,

Tell the guy to throw in another cord or two, since you are delivering both the tractor and the wood. I think firewood is a good trade though. It will let you use the Bx or it's benefits for another year or so.

My dream barn would have a B7500,B3030 & a L5740. Lots of attachments, a waste oil heater, my current fuel tank & my dog.

Just curious, LK, why would you want BOTH the B7500 and B3030? Can't the B3030 do everything that the B7500 can do at approximately the same weight and footprint (at least as compared to the L5740)? At least that's my understanding.

The first Kubota I seriously considered was the B7510, before I settled on the B3030.

I could sneak my b7500 into tight little areas i could never get my 3030 into. Now i have to wheelbarrow into those areas. Im about to jump up to an L model but i can promise you the next tractor after the L will be a small compact!

I finally got an offer on my BX2230, 2005 model with 155.6 hours, FEL, 42" rear brush hog. Asking price is $9,300, offer is $8,500 plus 4 cords worth of alder logs. I'll deliver the tractor and pick up the wood at the same time. The guy is clearing property to build a house and has lots of logs. They are roughly 12' long, the wife and I could probably process them into firewood-sized chunks in a full day. The price of Alder firewood is around $180/cord delivered in my area.

Anyone want to talk me out of this deal?

Greg

Dang! The deal fell through. He just can't justify spending that much right now, he needs an older tractor with more power. Grrr....

;) That new rig really looks good - even in the rain! I have a BX2200 and a B7800 and find plenty to do with both.:)
ENJOY!
