I am interested in taking a look at Kioti line, but apparently not even one dealer in the state - I used Kioti's web site dealer locator - one in Washington, one in New Mexico. . . etc, but none here. I sent Kioti an e-mail re their suggestions to enable me to look at one, etc. If I can take a look and decide to go that way, is shipping one here a realistic option ? cost ? Still wouldn't be able to see one unless I traveled there, or if one shows up at a farm show in near future. . . don't understand why Kioti's not here as I understand they have been around for a while. Somehow, I think Cal is not the best CUT market -

There are a couple of Kioti dealers near me in San Jose. Try using zipcode 95120 in the dealer locator. I recently purchased a DK45 from Carver Equipment in NC. Shipping was much less than I thought and they beat the local dealer by thousands. Have a look at their website, www.carverequipment.com. Al Murry was my salesman and was very professional. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

THANKS - I wonder why the Kioti web site dealer check service / site shows nothing in Cal at all. . . It could be, now that I think about it. that it would only let me search within 100 miles - I couldn't increase that parameter - though I did try some other zips .... I may try a few more zips. .. - I was hoping that there was something in Cal.. . I don't like the traffic over that way, but I may have to check that out. How do you like your Kioti - what else did you look at ? prices and implements ?

In addition to the DK45 with industrial tires, I also purchased the 1590 loader with heavy duty bucket, the 2385 backhoe, 65" tiller and loader forks. Total package including shipping was just over $28K. I also looked at Kubota, Deere and New Holland. The DK45 was much less money and much more tractor. It's interesting to compare the weight of the Kioti with the others.

Maybe it's true... Kubota owns all the sales in CA...! /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Really, I'd be thinking long term... if a dealer is not around for miles & miles... what are you going to do for any major service?

It would be like buying some exotic automobile... then nobody can/will service it locally... without costing a small fortune...

There are just too many other manufacturers of tractors... I wouldn't pursue some "elusive brand" for whatever the reason... /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

No I think its more like buying a tractor without someone near to service it. when is the last time you saw an exotic car sit in a field, fuel it up and start working without a problem? Learn to service it yourself the dealer can always ups warranty parts if needed.
Im not that worried about warranty anyway its a tractor.
The old saying= Its built like a TRACTOR or was it a Kioti Tractor.

Good point and one I have been thinking about based on all of the comments here re importance of the dealer. The NH and Kubota dealers are 30+ miles away, the JD is about 40 -45 miles away, the Century dealer is, I think, about 60+ miles away - maybe as close as 50. Kioti, now that I have received some help here - looks to be somewhere between 100-150 miles away. It would appear that I could get the parts OK. Taking unit in to dealer would be a problem with all of these to some degree. I have located a very honest and competent tractor mechanic about 20 miles from here - he is someone I had look at some used units for me. It may be that I would have him assist me with tasks I did not feel competent to handle. I would prefer closer, but am not certain that that will be the only thing I am going to have to look at.

There's another good Kioti dealer a little closer than Carver's. That's Little Kioti in Metropolis, Illinois. Maybe the shipping costs would be less from there. They have one of the bigger websites around, and they always seem to have good package deals. I know they ship just about anywhere, because other guys from other areas of the country have bought from him.

I had the same feeling about finding a Kioti dealer in my area initially, but I finally just sent Kioti an e-mail asking if there were any dealers within 100 miles. They replied with the name of a dealer about 70 miles from here. I visited him one day, and was very impressed with him. If I were to buy a Kioti, I'd have no problem going to him, although he did say he'd come and pick-up/deliver to my location free. Could be he was just trying to make a sale, but he seemed serious.

I, too, have located a tractor mechanic in my area that I would trust to take any make to. It makes me feel a little better about checking out Century's, or Branson's, or Mahindra's, etc. At least I know I have a wide range of options if I choose. But I will admit that my first choice would be to buy from a reputable dealer in my immediate area.

Good luck on your search! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I just returned from SoCal and they had a Kioti dealership in Hemet might try Hemet Zip and see what you get. Good Luck.

I share your feelings on California's allotment of CK20 tractors. I was told by two West Coast dealers that the POE is Oakland, CA. I have only recieved an email from one dealer in Oregon that had a CK20 he would sell me. I did not want to drive 1000 miles one way to try it out, then have to haul it all the way back to San Diego. I ended up with a BX22, which has done all I ask of it. I will still check out the CK20 when the opportunity arises at a dealer in So. California. Until then I am happy with what I have. There is at least one other fellow here on the board that went the same route as I did. Now the BX22 is in short supply. We in California do not have the exposure to farm equipment that many places in the country. I guess we paved paradise and put in a parking lot...
