Hey guys I posted the other thread about the injection pump.
I figured I'd post a thread that isn't labeled so specific to be misleading. This tractor is new to me and so has had me confused with some issues. At first it had a knock in the rear two cylinder engine. Turned out it was fuel related. After I cleaned the injectors it cured 80% of my issues.
It is very hard starting! It will puff white smoke and diesel over and over before it picks up. After it picks up and begins to run it puffs whispy white smoke and just doesn't "sound" healthy running. When I throttle up the engine has a more aggressive "pop" like a mild jake brake until it catches up. More so like a diesel under a good load.
It will puff heavy white until it catches up also.
I pulled compression and they are really close at 325-340#
I am going to pop test the injectors but I can't find any info on what they should pop at??
The engine at idle does not get over 140°
The oil pressure guage shows it's just barely in the green area. So I am concerned about oil pressure. I can hear a weird rapid buzzing or very high rpm tapping type sound coming from the oil filter area.
This thing has me paranoid as I don't want to overlook or ignore something only to have a major engine catastrophe or complete engine failure.
Any help or suggestions is welcomed!
