I am looking to swap my ZD21 60" pro deck for a new F2560 front cut mower so I may have the ability to use a snowblower. The mower I have found has a Kubota 60" rear discharge mower on it. Do any of you guys have any knowledge or experience with the rear discharge deck? Such as quality and speed of cut?
I have a Kubota F2260 front mower with 60" side discharge mower and 52" snowblower. I bought it new in 1997 and have 650 hours on it. Other than routine maintenance, it has never failed me. The mower has great suction and cuts as well as any mower I've seen. The rear discharge mower is built very much like the side discharge. Although I've never used one, my belief would be that it will cut just as well as the side discharge.
For snow, my Kubota snowblower worked great. My 22 HP powered it well. The 25 HP 2560 should do even better. My only recommendation would be to put chains on all four wheels. Unfortunately/fortunately my snowblower for the F2260 has been retired to the corner of the shed in favor of its big brother on my new Kubota L3430 tractor.
