Starting this thread trying to bait my brother-n-law into joining us here. He just got a new Everlast PowerArc 200ST. He called me this afternoon to tell me he just now got some spare time to try it out. At the time of the phone call he had only run some 6010, but he was very impressed with the welder. I ask him to try some 7018, and let me know how he liked the machine with 7018. So maybe when he sees this thread he will let us all know.
He's been lurking and reading a lot about tractors, and attachments because he has a new John Deere on order. So maybe he will join in now!:D

That-a-boy ShieldArc, that should get him going!!!

I got my Everlast PowerArc 300 the same time you got your 300. :cool2: I have only used it on 3 projects but I couldn't be happier with it. I'm a real novice hack but at least the machine is making it easy for me to lay down some respectable beads; 7018. 145 amps. 1/2" plate.

I just love my PowerArc 300. Been doing a little Tig welding with it. Has a very nice arc for Tig welding.
My brother-n-law was a very high end welder. He did Electron beam welding, and laser welding. He was saying yesterday he hasn't done any SMAW in years. I told him it's like ridding a bike, you never really forget how, you just look funny for awhile!

My 200 has been rock solid. Lots of small fun projects. I have the lincoln 180C but seem to migrate to the 200 all the time. Wish I had scored on that price dropped 300 like the rest of you.

I keep hoping that Amazon will have an Everlast Tig (preferably AC/DC Tig, something like the 250EX) machine tremendous markdown price like they did on the PA300. Keep looking for Mark to post a note like he has in the past when it happens.

SA: BIL does not bite at the challenge of joining, huh?

I talked to my brother-n-law the other day. He said his new PowerArc 200ST runs 7018 like a dream. I forgot to ask him if he seen this thread.
