Drawbar Hook

I am looking for a quick and easy way to hook my chain to the draw bar. I have been simply choking a chain around a big bolt in the drawbar, which is not easy or reliable.

I looked, and found a nice clevis hook purpose made for that. The clevis is wide and deep enough to simply pin the hook to the drawbar.

Problem is, every time I click on the hook, the link is dead. I have tried 8-10 sites, and all have the same picture and the same dead link.

Is there another slick way to hook a chain or grab hook directly to the drawbar? Thanks!

I bought something very similar, maybe even identical, to that at my local Tractor Supply. I don't remember how much it cost, but I'm sure it was close to your price.($12-$15)

I find a "D" ring hooked to the draw bar is more useful... can pass a chain thru it and hook the chain to itself... or put a rope thru it...

Useful for typing tractor down to a trailer to...

It's a standard accessory...

How could you use a D ring that you couldn't also use this drawbar hook? If you have the right size chain, this grab hook will secure it and a rope can just be tied thru the grab hook as well.

Hi...

"D" ring... vs. chain hook...
Can use any size chain... hook 1 or 2 sizes only...
Use rope any size... hook limits thickness...
Can use more than 1 chain or rope... hook=1

Good points!

What appeals to me about the hook is using my drag harrow. It's got a ring that you connect to the drawbar with. I've used a d ring in the past. This looked easier, i.e., just drop the ring into the grab hook.
