One of the things that continue to surprise me about this and similar outrageous things we read about is that it actually made it all the way to a few levels of the judicial system. Other than the already too high cost to take care of him for the rest of his miserable life, we now are supporting his frivolous claims by giving him air time in the courts.

That is about as lacking in merit as it gets. I'm surprised the judge didn't sanction the lawyer in some manner...although the article didn't say, it's possible they raised some other issues that weren't quite as ridiculous...like maybe making the argument that the man was critically ill, incapable of causing any harm to anyone else, and that he should be released into the custody of his family since he has substantially served his life sentence (and the state wouldn't have to support him any more). I know it's a stretch.

What if upon resuscitation, Benjamin declares himself (and identifies as) Bernice, accepts Jesus, and declares herself "born-again"?
(i.e. : there is no Benjamin, Benjamin died.)
(i.e. : there is no Benjamin, Benjamin died.)
