Does anyone know how/where to dispose of about 30 gallons of contaminated diesel fuel? In NY the place that takes used motor oil won’t take diesel. Is there an environmentall friendly way to burn it in a pit fire, for example (that actually sounds a bit dicey).

What's it contaminated with? You might be able to polish it & use it.

Diesel is the same as home heating oil, what is contaminated

1. Buy a new dump truck
2. Go to work for Pioneer Construction in Ontario, Canada.
3. Their apshalt plants will leak and drip so much tar all over your paint you will need that 30 gallons of fuel to clean your truck every night when you get home.

You don't want to pour it on the ground and light the fire. That is what the monkeys did in Ohio.

A flame on a pool of diesel burns very rich, lots of soot.

The waste oil furnace suggestion earlier sounds best to me. Someone with one of those would be delighted to be given 30 gallons of diesel. Metered fuel fed to a combustion chamber with air similarly controlled will burn about as clean as one can get.
