Crane attachment for 3pt

Cool product. Too bad it won't fit my BX, but I did see the compact tractor version with assist wheels. Looks like it would work with something not much bigger than a BX.

Great in theory (for the compacts)...but I dunno how the toplink would hold up in the long run...the toplink on a CAT I 3pt wasnt designed for such loads...figure that much weight that far out...most of the forces due to leverage are on that poor little single toplink....Its obvious they arent as strong...think...the lift links utilize two 7/8" Pins... the toplink uses a single 3/4" pin....

Then that brings us to the question...are the Toplink mounts/castings on the tractor even strong enough for that kind of stress?

it is hard to tell from the pictures, but it almost appears it may use it's own version of toplink, one that may/should be much heavier duty than what I/we use for normal 3pt attachments. in the pictures though you can't see it really it appears that whatever is connecting it is very short.

Interesting. To bad the boom can't swing side to side, like a swing boom log skidder. Or some sort of side shift mabe. Wouldn't have to reposition tractor so much or every time. Lining up with objects or something like putting an engine in a frame would seem to me anyway, more easy. Nifty set-up any way.:D

That is way cool. Especially the scene where the 8- series John Deere has TWO round bails hanging ten feet off the back end.....

I only put that link on here in case someone wanted to build one. Seems to be made for a very large tractor. A smaller/medium version could be made to suit the limits of your tractor. My B-9200 will only lift abut 450 lbs at the 3pt.
