I love my 3325 got 11 hours on it now and will but on more this weekend. When I bought my tractor I asked about and saw the service department. They have a complete parts department, but they sell other equipment also, and two mechanics. Actually the mechanic demosterated the tractor and answered all my questions. Only thing he didn't do was talk about price he said the owner would do that.

When I asked about service he told me there was a $50.00 (round trip) pick up and deliver fee even if the tractor repair is still under warranty. I live 19 miles away so this was reasonable I thought. He did say small repairs could be done at my place. He explained small this way. "We carry a small tool box with us if we have the tool we will fix it if not we will arrange to bring it in."

Does this sound like what most of you were told when you bought your tractors. I know I should of negoiated better when Ibought the tractor but I hadn't had a running tractor for nearly 2 years and was bit by the fever really

Sounds fair to me. I doubt seriously the dealer is able to pay for a vehicle, fuel, and a driver on $50 round trip charges. Personally I wouldn't load mine up and drive it to the dealer and go back and load it again and bring it home for $50.

Sounds plenty fair. I'd say the main thing is to troubleshoot it yourself if anything goes wrong. Make sure it really needs to go back to the shop or is it something you can do yourself. If not, you might even be able to get the local neighborhood mechanic to do some stuff that technically could be done under warranty. In a deal like that, your tractor dealer might be willing to foot the parts under warranty if you pay the labor and you could still be ahead by not paying the transport charge.

Better than some, not as good as others. We give our customers an agreement in writing, that we will provide 150 free pick-up and delivery miles for warranty repairs of a tractor. If the trip is maintenance, we charge $2 a loaded mile and a $20.00 call out fee. We also deliver the new tractors for free, up to 75 miles one way, with the $2 a mile charge after the first 75 miles. I took one down to Homestead the other day, and the charge for additional miles was $100 to the buyer. It all depends on the dealer and what he needs to stay in business...

That is one of the best-designed plans that I have heard. It is all spelled out and works for both you and the customer.
