Does anyone on here have a 2600h series mfwd with the 911x loader? With some real hours on it? I’m considering upgrading from my Kubota MX5100 to a heavier real utility tractor. I like the feel and weight of the 2600h series... but on paper the 911x loader is a total wuss. The 2607 is bare bones and heavy... perfect for what I do in the woods.... but I want to step up in loader capacity obviously as well. If anyone has some time under their belt with this loader I’d love to hear your thoughts. I’d love to own this tractor because I like the tractor itself and I have a fantastic Massey dealer near by who has unbeatable service.

I have a 2604H with the 911x loader. I have almost 70 hours on it now.

I use my loader all the time moving dirt. I can bury my loader in a mound of dirt, and it will still lift. If it痴 wet it may not lift it If it痴 buried.

I can pull a 7ft disc but it has to be in 4wd drive in my sandy soil. A 5ft is no problem in 2wd.

I also pull a box blade a lot maintaining my driveway.

My 2604H has plenty of power and so far I would purchase another again.

Good luck I hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply! Does your tractor have the 7’ bucket on it? All the ones I’ve looked at my dealer are 7’ and it looks big on the tractor. If yours will pick up a buried bucket full I’d say it must be decent. Most of my loader work is moving logs and brush... and some of my logs can get 2500-3000 lbs. I don’t have to lift them high... just on and off a trailer or to the mill.

Mine has the 72 bucket. Even with a 5 heavy duty box blade on the back I can still pick up enough weight that the rear end is very light. The tires are also filled.

Sounds good. Those are heavy little tractors so that’s saying something!

Some of the dealers with let you demo a tractor. May try that to see if it will pick up what you need. If it痴 close you can go up to the next size loader.

I have a 2607h with the 911x, only 60 hrs so far. Mine came with a 72" FEL bucket. I wish it came with the 84", mainly for back draging. 2 things I did right away, 1 was to widen the front and rear wheels to give me more width for stability, 2 was to add water to the rear wheels as ballast. I'm on the coast so freezing is not an issue. One of our previous tractors a 4wd Oliver 1355 had water with no issues in 25 years and MF1140 for close to 10 years water only. Anyways, our soil is very heavy sand and I have overflowed the bucket with no issues, almost always have an implement on the the 3pt. I also have a 72" MTL RK5 Rock Grapple, I have picked up some serious coastal oak limbs, 2ft+ diameter and 12 ft long. Sometimes multiples of smaller diameter.

I am loving the tractor so far, plenty of power and weight. I pull a 9.5 ft Strathmore wheeled disc with no issues at all.

Right on that’s good info. I’ll def have loaded tires... and eventually I’ll build a heavy skid plate under it too. Sounds like the 911x has been strong for you as well. I’ll probably stick with the six foot bucket myself for maneuverability sakes... and I’ll probably upgrade to a larger 72” grapple ... current is only 56” to keep weight down for the little kubota. Hopefully I can make the numbers work on the 2607 this year.

I own a 2606H. Got 300 hours on it and other than a couple hydraulic o-rings and the 4WD indicator switch getting unplugged due to its location I've never had a problem. It has plenty of power to do anything a tractor if that size should do and probably more. I pulled a 7' Rome disc with mine a few times and while you know it's there it pulled it fine. I'm about to invest in a 12' batwing bush hog which should be no trouble for it. The loader is strong! I worry about the front axle being able to handle all the loader can lift but so far so good. The fuel economy seems to be pretty good. I wish it had a power shuttle at times but if it did then it wouldn't be the old school classic that we all love so much.
