Hello,
Has anyone changed a belt, any belt, on the early version
before the universal joint style shaft coupler?
That is what I have, and there is nothing in the service manual
for this version. The only procedures reference the U-joint coupler.
Anyway, if you happen to know what I am talking about,
after removing the drive pump, when I try to remove the flange,
everything comes along, the entire set of pulleys.
My guess is the flange should come off by itself, so a belt can be
slipped on to the outer pulleys at least.
If anyone has any hints, please share them with me.
I can see how to take the entire thing apart,
but I only need to change the alternator belt,
and the upper hyd pump belt.
If it is designed to all come out, fine.
But if there is an easier way, more fine.
