Can my tractor pull this plow?

Do you think it would be reasonable to ask my Kubota L2350 (25HP 4WD) to pull this plow or one like it?

My Dad used to pull a two bottom plow with a IH Super C gas tractor with no trouble. Can I expect similar performance from a CUT of similar HP?

Possibly- if you changed the shares to the Weiss soil deeep conservation plow shares as they have less than a third of the surface area.


You should buy the single moldboard unit from ken that he showed you as you will have less drag and you will not have to replace any moldboards.

That is one of these new style plows and they are not worth hauling home. They will not hold up. Ken Sweet

Well, since I've already told the guy I'll take it then I guess I'll get to practice my welding skills.

I have that exact plow--paid $150 for it a few years ago. I pull it with my Mahindra 5525 (54 hp engine, 45 hp pto, 2WD).



The 3pt hitch assembly on the plow was shot--wouldn't hold adjustments. So I had to weld up a modified hitch to get the plow to work.



Your 25 hp tractor probably only has about 18-20 hp on the drawbar. Even with 4WD I'd say you're marginal on power.

Reason I say is I have a old Ford 2 bottom (about like that one) that came with the 8n's etc and I have no idea how they were expected to pull it must have been perfect dirt is all I can say!

It's ALL about soil type and moisture

I was lucky, and did it before I read it wasn't possible

There hasn't been one person say anything was impossible just difficult overall.

You obviously don't have a better solution or you would be using it I know I would.

I measured the old hitch assembly and used the two diagonal supports that came with the plow to get it close. I allowed for a little bit of adjustment in the new hitch assy.
