I am reposting this under another title. I know someone on here knows the answer. Reason I ask is two fold. 1. I have been told both I can and I can't from the dealership. Salesman say I can, mechanic says I can't 2. I would like to add this option some day but it won't kill me if I can't.

I may not really know what a spool is so let me explain what I think it is.

A spool is what I connect a hydralic hose to to lift an implement not connected to the 3 ph.

I understand the spool comes standard on a 3525 and not on a 3325. But I notices where the 3525 has it connect there is a bolt on the 3325. Could I not just put my own on in the same place?

Back in my day we had an Allis Chalmber WD45 and pulled a 10" Oliver harrow on wheels. We just took out a fitting on the pump and ran a line to the rear of the tractor and put a hydralic coupling there to connect the lone to. It worked fine. Why wouldn't this work on the 3325?

I am really suprised one of the dealers haven't gotten all over this yet. But here is my non-professional view:

Can you add a remote, sure! But it wont be stock equipment if they can't get parts for it. That just means using prince valves or something similar. There is a thread on this in projects or build it yourself I think.

I think the spool is just the set of levers you have now. Their should be a return after the fluid goes though all the valves and this will head back to the tank. You would put another set of levers inline at that point. Trick would be mounting them someplace convenient. There is a lot to figure out if you decide to do this so be sure to start a post in the projects group to get lots of help on how to do this. I would exhaust all dealer options before going this route as it will not look stock when done, but it should work. That is just my 2 cents.

If you think the spool parts on the other model are similar you could try ordering the kit for that tractor. You might want to call mahindra tech support before dropping a lot of money into this.

I'd like to add a remote control to my tractor too. Then I could sit back on the deck with a cold one in one hand and the tractor remote in the other. I think I'd have to add a camera too to see where the tractor is going though.
But somehow I don't think this is what you are talking about?

george,

I don't think that is what he is talking about either, but it sounds like a good idea and I am sure someone here has done it already :) LOL!

We don't sell many 2wd tractors in my area so I have never sold a 3325 and I have never had a good look at one. Mahindra doesn't list a spool kit for the 3325 tractor but they do for the 3525. I don't know if the 3525 auxillary valve kit would work on it or not. If you would like to give me a call I will try to explain to you how to plumb in an aftermarket setup.

The post I was thinking about was in Customization and is called "Aftermarket power beyond kit". Similar ideas. I would follow up with Galen, he will help you out for sure!

I had an uncle that had a remote on a lawnmower in early 60s. He'd sit on his porch and operate it. In those days people couldn't believe such a thing. Stopped traffic many times. He had a lot of fun with that thing. I'll bet today one couldn't buy such a thing. Probably too dangerous.
